About Us...

Hi, I'm Angela and I am the founder and key therapist of Stable Strength. I am a qualified and registered Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the health and mental health sector. My therapy utilises a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Family Therapy, tailored to an individual's needs and goals. Additionally, my practice mindfully encompasses a framework of trauma informed practice and motivational interviewing which sensitively assists those who may have had trauma in their past and helps address problematic behaivour which may have stemmed from this.

My inspiration for developing Stable Strength came through my lifelong passion for horses which has led me to having numerous relationships with different horses throughout my life. I felt eternally grateful for what these relationships taught me and the personal strengths they helped me to develop to assist navigation of my life stages and to overcome my own challenges. Within my clinical work, I have a passion for helping people overcome adversity and achieve their best outcomes in life. I have spent many years developing a toolkit of skills that can assist people to this end and I realised that utilising the human relationship with horses to help me deliver the concepts of therapy was an invaluable resource. It is my hope that I can share these experiences with many others to help them overcome their barriers to achieving their own personal goals.

Location

We operate from the beautiful facilities at Jabulani Sanctuary at Upper Beaconsfield, Victoria, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.
